Students can print from their personal devices while connected to the MBSstudent Wi-Fi network.

Important Printing Rules

Before trying to print, make sure:

  1. You are connected to MBSstudent Wi-Fi.
  2. You are trying to print to a student-available printer.
  3. You are physically in the same building as the printer you want to use.

Printers are only available by building. For example:

  • If you are in the Middle School Building, you will only see printers available in the Middle School Building.
  • If you are in Grant Hall, you will only see printers available in Grant Hall.
  • If you are in another building, you will only see printers available in that building.

If you do not see the printer you are looking for, check that you are connected to the MBSstudent Wi-Fi network and that you are in the correct building.

Printing from an Apple iPad

  1. Connect your iPad to the MBSstudent Wi-Fi network. 
  2. Open the document, webpage, photo, or file you want to print.
  3. Tap the Sharebutton.
    • This usually looks like a square with an arrow pointing up
  4. Tap Print.
  5. Tap Printer.
  6. Select the printer available in your current building.
  7. Choose the number of copies or other print options.
  8. Tap Print.

If You Do Not See a Printer on iPad

  • Make sure you are connected to MBSstudent.
  • Make sure you are in the same building as the printer.
  • Turn Wi-Fi off and back on.
  • Close and reopen the app you are printing from.
  • Restart your iPad if needed.





Printing from a MacBook

  1. Connect your MacBook to the MBSstudent Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the document, webpage, or file you want to print.
  3. Click File.
  4. Click Print.
  5. In the printer list, choose the printer available in your current building.
  6. Select your print options.
  7. Click Print.

If You Do Not See a Printer on MacBook

  1. Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner.
  2. Go to System Settings.
  3. Click Printers & Scanners.
  4. Click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax.
  5. Look for printers available in your current building.
  6. Select the correct printer and click Add.

If the printer still does not appear:

  • Confirm you are connected to MBSstudent Wi-Fi network.
  • Confirm you are in the same building as the printer.
  • Turn Wi-Fi off and back on.
  • Restart your MacBook if needed.

Printing Troubleshooting Checklist

If you are having trouble printing, check the following:

  • Are you connected to MBSstudent Wi-Fi?
  • Are you in the same building as the printer?
  • Are you selecting the correct printer?
  • Is the printer powered on?
  • Did you try turning Wi-Fi off and back on?
  • Did you restart your device?
